The business G Bolam Foods Ltd started in 1968 by Mr Bolam employing 1 member of staff. The business progressed and due to expanding turnover it was decided to move to a purpose built factory 5 miles away in Sedgefield from the original base at Ferryhill.

 

The new site was a 2 bay 14,000 sq. ft. purpose built factory, however again undersized for the amount of work required. Within 6 years a further design of a new building was developed as a 3 bay 44,000 sq. ft. unit. We are a bespoke major supplier of produce throughout the North East selecting the finest produce from local farms, enabling us to have complete trace-ability in our Beef , Pork and Lamb.

With a workforce of over 80 employees we are recognized as a unique business offering everything under one roof from onsite abattoir, boning room, hotel / catering Room, manufacturing department, Curing room, Delicatessen, Bakery, Fruit & Veg, Fish, Packing Room and Restaurant. Open to the public Monday to Saturday as well as a delivery service to the catering trade.
